For Vigix Inc., a multi-media kiosk producer based in Lexington, MA, we designed and developed the software for an inventory management and kiosk-based product distribution solution. We also assisted with a deployment in Mexico that required the modification of existing Java enterprise applications to have them integrate with the mainframe services of Mexican mobile network carriers and credit card processing gateways.
We built prototype Java Mobile and Google Android applications with geocoding and offline support for TSheets to facilitate time tracking for mobile workforces.
With Portland Webworks we have implemented and launched a few interactive web based applications built using the JBoss Seam framework, charting tools such as JFreeChart, and streaming Flash video.
With KG Partners, an advertising and interactive agency based in Portland, Maine, we helped re-implement a large public website and content management system (CMS) for an international freight transportation company. The enterprise-grade applications were developed using Ruby on Rails, AJAX, Amazon S3 for video, and Flash technologies offering innovative, interactive functionality.
For Fremont Forward, we helped build components of an early version of Audiofuse.com, a social networking music collaboration site built with Ruby on Rails. We reviewed the overall architecture of the solution as well as built a transcoding solution utilizing Amazon Web Services (EC2, S3, SQS).
With Expert Software Solutions Corp. of Cambridge, Massachusetts, we implemented a new .NET rich user interface for the software component of a product offered by Resonance Research, Inc., a Massachusetts based provider of solutions in magnetics for clinical and analytical applications.
Provided Gradient Blue, LLC, a US-based strategic IT consulting firm, with Java Enterprise and Ruby on Rails development support for their custom-application development projects.
Provided .NET maintenance support of the new community platform being rolled-out to all of its campuses. The Daily Jolt, which operates a national network in the United States of 200 campus-specific web sites run by a team of students on each campus.
- PowerPay. Application migration for PowerPay LLC, a payment solution provider based in Portland, Maine. The lead management system was migrated to PowerPay's Windows hosting facility.
- TexturePlus. With Green Tree Marketing and Spark Creative, we designed and implemented a new ASP.NET 2.0 e-commerce site for Texture Plus, a Long Island, New York based manufacturer of building materials.
